Microsoft 365 Perth — Setup, Licensing & Ongoing Management
Authorised Microsoft CSP partner supplying and managing Microsoft 365 for Perth small businesses
Perth's Microsoft 365 Specialists
DM1 is an authorised Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partner, procuring and managing Microsoft 365 licences for businesses across Perth and Western Australia. As a CSP partner, DM1 supplies licences directly — you deal with us, not Microsoft’s billing systems.
We’ve been supporting Perth small businesses with their technology since the 1970s. Microsoft 365 is now the foundation of almost every business we manage — and we handle everything from initial setup and migration through to day-to-day licence management, security configuration, and ongoing support.
Microsoft 365 works best when it's set up properly.
Most Perth businesses are already paying for Microsoft 365 but only using a fraction of what’s included. Email and Word — and not much else. DM1 sets up and manages the full platform: Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Defender and Entra ID, configured correctly from day one.
As an authorised Microsoft CSP partner through Dicker Data, DM1 handles your licensing at wholesale pricing, manages your tenant and provides ongoing support — all from one Perth-based provider who knows your business.
Three Ways DM1 Delivers Microsoft 365
Whether you’re starting from scratch, moving from an existing system, or already on Microsoft 365 and needing better management — DM1 handles the full lifecycle.
New Business Setup
Setting up a new business or opening a new office? DM1 configures your Microsoft 365 environment from the ground up — domain connection, email accounts, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and security baselines.
We coordinate with your internet provider and handle DNS, MX records, and any third-party integrations so everything works from day one.
Migration to Microsoft 365
Moving from Google Workspace, on-premise Exchange, a legacy POP/IMAP email system, or another provider? DM1 manages the full migration — email, contacts, calendars, and files — with no disruption to your users.
Migrations are planned and executed outside business hours where possible. Users typically arrive to work the next morning with everything in place.
Ongoing Managed Service
Already on Microsoft 365 but not getting the most from it? DM1 takes over licence management, security monitoring, and user provisioning so you don't have to think about it.
We handle new user setup, licence adjustments, password resets, MFA enforcement, and proactive security reviews — all included as part of your managed IT service.

Which Microsoft 365 Plan Do You Need?
Microsoft offers five main plans for businesses under 300 users — from a basic cloud collaboration tool through to a fully secured enterprise platform. The right plan depends on how your team works, what data you handle, and whether security compliance is a priority.
| Plan | From | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Business Basic | $11.88/user/mo | Staff who only need email and Teams — no desktop Office apps required. |
| Business Standard | $24.68/user/mo | Office staff needing full desktop apps (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Teams. |
| Business Premium ⭐ DM1 Recommended | $43.43/user/mo | Any business handling client data — adds Defender, Intune, Conditional Access, and ransomware recovery. |
| E3 | $74.98/user/mo | Heavy email users (50GB+ mailbox) needing 100GB mailbox, unlimited archive and advanced compliance. |
| E5 | $112.60/user/mo | Maximum security — Defender for Identity, advanced threat analytics, Power BI Pro, Purview compliance. |

What a Migration or Setup Looks Like
Every Microsoft 365 engagement follows a structured process. For most small businesses the full setup or migration takes between one and three business days — and is invisible to end users.
Security Is Not Optional
Microsoft 365 is a powerful platform — but out of the box, it is not a secure one. Default settings leave significant gaps that are routinely exploited in phishing attacks, ransomware incidents, and account compromises. DM1 configures every Microsoft 365 environment to a security baseline before users are onboarded.
For businesses on Business Premium or above, DM1 also configures and monitors Defender for Business — Microsoft’s endpoint detection and response platform. This is the capability that changes your exposure in a ransomware incident. Business Standard has no ransomware recovery capability. Business Premium does.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft 365 Copilot is Microsoft’s AI assistant, integrated directly into Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 apps. It can draft emails, summarise meetings, generate documents, analyse data, and answer questions about your business content stored in SharePoint and OneDrive.
Copilot requires a Microsoft 365 Business Standard or above licence as a foundation, plus a separate Copilot licence. DM1 can advise on readiness, licensing, and what Copilot can realistically deliver for your team. It is worth noting that Copilot works best in well-organised Microsoft 365 environments — good SharePoint governance and clean data are prerequisites.
